A somatic Contact Improvisation journey into breath, tenderness, desire, touch and consent, exploring how the skin becomes a dynamic landscape of wisdom, intimacy and connection.

The workshop uses the story of Tiresias to explore sexuality through movement, play and creative storytelling. In the myth, Tiresias strikes two mating snakes, lives as both a man and a woman, and gains the ability to speak about pleasure and desire from both positions. Participants draw tarot cards to structure a journey through archetypes and states.

This workshop adds a third position to the relational body: the one who watches. Desire changes when someone sees it, and queer desire carries a long history of being seen badly, under diagnosis, surveillance and law. Tiresias is the figure who speaks about other people’s pleasure with authority. The question the session works on is how a group holds attention as care rather than as exposure.

Structure:

• The strike. Disruption and activation. Fast physical work that breaks habitual movement patterns and sets the session’s pace.

• The transformation. Different qualities of desire and pleasure explored through shifting physical states, with the tarot draw directing what each participant works with.

• The drink. Ritual “poisoned water” drinking as a threshold crossing into deeper knowing. A ritual drink marks the threshold into the final section. Clown and spectacular character work to bring archetypes to life in playful, exaggerated ways.

• The prophecy. Work with what the changed body knows. The group builds shared stories and closes with prophecies made collectively. Ensemble mythmaking where the group creates living erotic prophecies and collective stories.

Through drag, clowning, burlesque, character work and playful performance, Kelindah invites us to explore power, pleasure, self-expression and vulnerability while loosening the grip of shame and self-consciousness.

Through Contact Improvisation, fight-inspired movement and aquatic touch practices, Asha explores resistance, surrender, boundaries, trust, sensuality and the fluid possibilities of queer connection.
